Who we are: a roofing contractor based in Cape Coral that works in Cape Coral and the Lee County communities just over the bridges. We repair and replace shingle, tile, metal and flat roofs, and we help homeowners through storm damage and insurance roof questions.
A family business with a certified roofer at the top
This is a family-run company. The owner holds our Florida certified roofing contractor license, CCC1332671, and started out doing field labor more than thirty years ago before running crews as a superintendent. He grew up in the trade, too: his father ran a commercial building company.
We are approved as a certified installer by major roofing manufacturers. In practice that means our crews are trained on each maker's own installation rules, and on qualifying roofs you can get the stronger warranties those companies only back when a certified installer does the work. Before any re-roof starts, the job is planned on paper: the deck, the flashing details and the trouble spots are worked out first, so surprises on tear-off day are rare.
Besides shingle, tile and standing-seam metal, we install stone-coated steel and roof coatings, and we work on commercial buildings as well as homes.
What we do every week
A normal week here is a mix of small and large work. A few leak calls, usually a vent boot, a valley or a cracked tile under an A/C line. One or two inspections for a buyer or for an owner whose insurer wants to know how old the roof is. And a re-roof somewhere in the Cape, with the old roof coming off on day one and the deck dried in before the afternoon storms roll through. We like that mix. The repair calls keep us honest about what fails on Cape Coral roofs, and that shapes how we build the new ones.
Why Cape Coral roofs need their own approach
Cape Coral was laid out as a canal city, and that shows on its roofs. Homes sit close to salt and brackish water, so steel flashing and cheap fasteners rust out years early. Many houses were built in waves, which means whole streets reach the end of their roof life at the same time. And every roof here has to deal with strong summer sun, heavy rain most afternoons from June to September, and the chance of a hurricane each fall. We pick underlayments, metals and attachment methods with all three in mind, not just the cheapest product on the supply house shelf.
How we work
- We get on the roof. No estimates from a drone shot or the driveway. We look at the deck, flashing and attic, and photograph what we find.
- We tell you what it doesn't need. If a repair will do, we say so, and we price replacement next to it only when it is a real option.
- Estimates in writing, line by line, with the materials named.
- Permits and inspections filed and closed by us, whether the job is in Cape Coral, Fort Myers or unincorporated Lee County.
- A clean site. Tarps over landscaping during tear-off and a magnet sweep for nails before we leave.
Why we stay local
Roofs here live with the same sun, salt air and storms, and we know how they fail. Staying close also means we can come back: for a question after the job, for a storm check next season, or for the paperwork your insurer asks for at renewal.
What you can expect on the day
Before work starts we walk the property with you, note anything near the house we need to protect, and agree on where the dumpster and materials will go. Pool cages, lanais and landscaping get covered. On a re-roof the old roof comes off one section at a time, so the house is never left open overnight. At the end of each day the deck is dried in, and at the end of the job we run a magnet over the yard, driveway and pool deck for nails before the final walk-through.
After a storm
When a storm comes through Lee County, every roofing company gets a flood of calls at once. Active leaks come first for us, and we tell you honestly how long the wait is rather than promise a time we can't keep. We tarp to stop the water, then come back to document the damage with photos and measurements for your claim. We don't offer to cover deductibles or hand out gifts for signing, because Florida law forbids it and because it isn't how a local company that wants to be around next year should work.
Insurance and paperwork
Roof questions in Florida often start with an insurance letter. We do condition inspections for roofs your carrier is asking about, write up what we find with photos, and tell you plainly whether the roof has years left or not. After a new roof you get the closed permit, the product details and what your wind-mitigation inspector needs, so the discount paperwork is easy to finish.
Choosing a roofer, whoever you hire
We would rather you hire well than hire us by default. Whoever you call, ask for their Florida license number and check it on the state's DBPR site. Ask who pulls the permit and who will be on your roof. Ask whether the price includes the deck re-nail, the secondary water barrier and new flashing, and get a per-sheet price for any rotten decking. A good roofer answers all of that in writing without being pushed. If two quotes are far apart, the difference is almost always in what they leave out.
Licensed and insured
Our Florida roofing contractor license is CCC1332671. You can look it up on the state's DBPR license search. We carry liability insurance and provide certificates to homeowners, HOAs and property managers on request.
